Room Scene image:

The city of Nain, on the fringes of the central Persian desert, only began to weave carpets in the 20th century but rapidly developed into an important center distinguished for the fine quality of designs. Karastan’s Black Nain puts a contemporary spin on the traditional palette by trading blues for dramatic black and featuring it as the ground color, while retaining subtle accents of taupe, gold, ivory, and red. The original carpet from which our Black Nain is interpreted was itself woven of part silk – a fitting attribute, as the signature of all rugs in Persian Renaissance Collection are the dazzling accents of pure white silk. This rug coordinates beautifully with the Keshan Ivory and Ziegler Ivory patterns.
