Tudor gardeners adorned their great houses with knot gardens, in which plants were divided into patterns by low boxwood or lavender hedges. The design of Karastan's Hampton Court rug is as precisely planned as the gardens at Hampton Court Palace. Inspired by a magnificent 16th Century carpet, Quatrefoil medallions are the focal point connected by small roundels and surrounded by flowering branches. The medallions are filled with elaborate arrangements of floral sprays, vinery, peacocks, and rosettes. The versatile color palette includes red, indigo, ivory, yellow, caramel, deep terra cotta, medium blue, and soft green. The Hampton Court design mixes beautifully with Cambridge, Devonshire, Stratford, and Brighton, all also of The English Manor Collection.

Rug Care and Maintenance:

Vacuum regularly using a brushless attachment otherwise set lever to high.
Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight.
Do not pull loose ends, clip them with scissors to remove.
Remove spills immediately; blot with clean cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. Never rub or scrub a rug to remove a stain. For hard-to-remove stains professional rug cleaning is recommended.
Rotate the rug every six months to even the wear.
Using a rug pad makes the rug feel softer and adds to its life while protecting the floor beneath it.
